the guy in the upper left is my character Franky who I never do anything with ever. I was playing around with styles and wondering why I can’t draw him the same way twice. i think it’s because i never do anything with him.

I have a headcanon that Hanna probably played Portal 1 & 2 and loved it and totally freaks out when he sees things like aperture mugs and phone cases and turret plushies and he has a big fat nerd crush on Chell.

So like if by some minute chance you are watching me and not watching not-quite-normal, here is your chance to go and remedy this GRAVE ERROR. Aside from being an amazing cartoonist and animator, nqn is probably the nicest person on the internet?? Confirmed truth.

I have been a miserable and stressed pile of nerves and sads but nqn pulled me from my dark den of self-pity with Wheatley email-carepackages and turntable sessions. So many amazing treats to put my ears and eyeballs on made this shitty ridiculous week fly by wheeeooo!!

Whoa well now that I’m done confessing my undying love like a huge idiot, the point of this post is I wanted to return the favor in kind so I made this bit of fanart of her characters Rodney and Siboban from her aptly named story Not Quite Normal. I think I made Rodney a bit more badass than he really is but what can I say, he’s totally My Type™

And in return, if any of my followers are following me and not Baysalt, 1. WHY NOT and 2. GO DO IT NOW

I will pretty much echo everything Bay said up there because it’s true about her as well even if she stretched the truth a bit on me, everything up there goes double for her because Bay is the nicest person I’ve ever met ever and returned those Wheatley carepackages with even more amazing Wheatley carepackages and also helped me get out of a stress funk and jfc what is this sentence

I haven’t been the most hospitable host towards my new and old Tumblr followers, so I thought I’d post some drawings for your entertainment. Entertainment meaning ‘laughing at my sketchy, pathetic attempts at art’.

Ah, just some rough drawings of NQN’s adorable original characters, Finch and Shady, a silly sketch of my friend and I hidden in there, and much Portal-ness, mainly consisting of (attempts at) NQN’s Wheatly, (I bloody love her Wheatley design). Also I hate hands, I just, I hate drawing hands.

OKAY FULL REASON WHY I DREW THIS RIGHT HERE GUIS:
So a few mornings ago for…SOME REASON I was looking through NQN’s dA gallery again, and saw the one where she had her characters talking to some of the cores, I think partially as a response to the “Star Stuff” comic where people expressed deep concern in Shady’s seeming lack of interest in space and were going to plan a space intervention to make sure this was corrected, but we ended up learning she enjoys hearing about space better from other hyperactive robots. There was a second one with Finch being driven crazy by the Fact core, and someone suggested in the comments that she now had to draw Rodney with Wheatley (which never happened, sadly.)

I was just sitting there thinking “Well he’d have to get through Siboban first, I can’t imagine she’d like him clouding up all of her GOOD ideas…and…. oh my gosh Rodney already has a Evil Intelligence Enhancing Bird.” Because that’s really what she does, as she drives home here.

(OHSNAP sounds like someone has a crush on Finch.) 

And yeah then I couldn’t help but draw it. I know Siboban doesn’t look much like herself but that’s what happens when you get a very obsessive, anal-retentive bird and biology geek drawing your cartoon bird. Hopefully she’s somewhat recognisable.

I know, why don’t I draw my own stuff anymore? I don’t knooooooow, I haven’t been able to come up with any ideas worth drawing with them, I just keep coming up with dumb silly fanart ideas or art of my friend’s characters. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.

JULIAN, THIS… HOW DO YOU DRAW BIRDS, AAH I LOVE THIS klhgdshg his scared little expression and look at that intimidating pose on Siboban, omgosh.  I only just got to your post about livestreaming once you finished and I’m so sad I wasn’t there to watch this but omg I love how it turned out!!

I haven’t felt like drawing my own guys lately because of other things, but character design is bugging the heck out of me right now and it feels comfortable going back to drawing what I know for a bit. <3 So here! Have my villains c:<
